July 2018 One man Show The Stable Gallery, Lewes

Looking past the obvious, close observation and engagement of the subject is my process. The challenge is to see beyond the distraction of complete scenes and capture the connectivity we all feel with objects, our environment and each other.

Some of my subjects are quite beautiful, others less so. My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them, to discover beauty in the unusual subjects and enjoy the juxtapositions and compositions in my work.

This summer there was no better feeling than when I showcased my artwork in the friendly and intimate Stable Gallery in Lewes. It gave me the chance to meet new people and talk to them about what creatively makes us all tick. 

While sales of my artwork were brisk, for me it was all about connecting with people and sharing stories and thoughts about the narratives found in my artwork.
